CARD MAKING

I helped my friend make the violin card for her friend's daughter. The daughter was graduating from high school and plays the violin. We had a good time making it. The violin is from "Jolee's Boutique".
This card was stamped on creme cardstock with brown ink. Then softly colored the trees, bricks of the house and pathway, and the grass. I then added the new "Flower Soft" by KatySue Designs. It gives the flowers a "raised" look.
The "Undersea Fish" and "Lantern" card were made on glossy cardstock. I used a silver Kyrlon pen and alcohol inks. Once I got everything the way I liked I went back and put a few drops of the blending solution in the middle and let it spread out creating the "framed" look. Did the same technique for the "Thank You" and "Goldfish" cards.

COASTER BOOK SWAP

Front of the Coaster Book Swap I was recently a part of. It was my first ever coaster book. I had such fun doing it. The front and back covers are heavily textured cardstock. The words were done on the computer. The coasters came round and had polka dots on them.

Pages 1 & 2
Again words done on computer. The background is aluminum glued to cardstock. Then I used a template and rubbed the design (paws) into it. After that I took STAZ ON and lightly rubbed over the raised part of the design. The horse was stamped on and embossed. Then I rubbed it with Perfect Pearls. The blue around the horse is also PP.
Pages 3 & 4
I sponged alcohol inks on the coaster for the giraffe and lion. In the background of the giraffe you can see some yellow spots. They are part of the coaster pattern. I stamped the giraffe and embossed it. Took a black fine tip pen and went around the giraffe and defined its spots. Then I took a leaf stamp and stamped around the image then dusted it with green PP. The lion is a stencil. I used your everyday spackling paste and took my finger and lightly dabbed it to get the raised part of the mane. Once dried I rubbed gold and copper PP throughout.
Pages 5 & 6
The lion was stamped and embossed. Around the image I stamped leaves and dusted with PP. Inside back cover is same as inside front cover.

HEIRLOOM PRODUCTIONS IN GREENVILLE

A couple of my friends and I went to the Heirloom Convention in Greenville. It was my first Heirloom convention but not my first rubber stamping convention. For my friends it was their first. We had a great time. Went up a day early, checked into the hotel then went and walked around downtown Greenville. A very pretty tree lined street. Friday we took Zana's class from "StampZia" (www.stampzia.com). Her colors are so vibrant. The class was a lot of fun. Saturday of course was "SHOPPING DAY" with the vendors and yes we shopped!

HALLOWEEN ATCs

Here are the ATCs I did for a Halloween swap. I've always had a "thing" for Halloween since my youngest son (who will be 16) was born on Halloween! I used to really enjoy decorating the house when he was younger. Now that he's "older" I decorate for "fall" mostly with a few Halloween decorations outside. Hope you enjoy!
