Got to make some welcome cards for 3 new members to one of the groups I belong to. It's always fun to welcome somebody new to the group.

Welcome Cards
WOW! Can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving! Where has the time gone. Can't believe I haven't posted in a while but then again I was busy making cards. I'm going to start with the Welcome Cards that I made for members joining one of the groups I'm in. I stamped on glossy then "dabbed" color onto the tree. Added the embellishments.

Cards Made / Welcome Wagon
WOW! February is here. Not sure were January went. Anyway, I did these cards as part of my Welcome Wagon for a group I belong to. I thought I would just do something simple. I stamped onto plain cardstock using HIT (Hearts In Touch) stamps and did a little coloring on them with pencils. Found "borders" I liked and added those. Went through my chipboard letters and found corresponding letter to animal and attached those.

Welcome Cards
Ok, here's my challenge to myself - to see how many cards I could make from 2-12x12 pieces of coordinating cardstock. Well, here's the first 2. These are going to be sent out to newcomers in a group I belong to. I really need to get them in the mail now that I've received the addresses. The leaf and plaid were the papers I chose.

Welcome Wagon

I had a chance to actually make some cards today. These are for one of the groups I'm in. We send "welcome" cards to the newest members who join. Two down and 3 to go! Well, 2 1/2 anyway because I can't quite decide on the background paper. The girl what just stamped on cream cardstock and mounted on thre green. The background behind her is actually a napkin from doing the "napkin technique". The tree is done on glossy cardstock, Krylon pen, and alcohol inks. Can't tell but there really is a tree there!Saturday, October 11, 2008

These cards were made for new members that joined one of the groups I'm in. We call it "Welcome Wagon". There's I think 4 of us and once we get their addresses make them welcome cards. It's a lot of fun and I know the new members enjoy it.
