Fall Door Hanging Swap

This is the door hanger I made for the swap. I painted the wood shapes with acrylic paints. Stamped the leaves on and painted them with Twinkling H2Os. Took chipboard letters and dusted them with Perfect Pearls. Glued small gold leaves to each letter. Punched holes in the wood and put the ribbon through. Added beads.

Altered Books

Pages from 3 altered books I've made. The first one was a "days gone by", the second was the "four seasons" and the last was the first book I did called "Art Journey" It was fun creating them and I plan on doing another one with an Asian theme having lived 7 years in Okinawa and Japan.

GUARDIAN ANGELS

These "angels" were done for an upcoming baby shower for a couple members of my church who are both expecting in December. I "altered" artist canvas boards and screwed on small hinges. I did direct to canvas using inks in 3 colors- inside and outside. I "neglected" to take a picture of the front...ooppss!! Painted the wooden part. Painted the wood shapes for the angels then applied glitter for the form and those teeny, tiny beads on the wings. Painted square shapes for their names. Found a nice Guardian Angel prayer. They can be secured - shiney silver/pink ribbon for the girl and blue ribbon with buckle for the boy.

The Zen Of Tea

I'm not a scrapbooker by nature but thought I'd try my hand at it. While stationed in Japan I took lessons in the art of the tea ceremony. The style I learned was actually brewing the tea leaves (a more traditional style) instead of whisking a tea powder like you see more often.

THE "STUFF"

Pictured are things I've done in the past. I guess you could say I was trying to find myself! Here you will find Hymnal Angel, Ikebana, Gumballs, Flower Arrangements, angels made from placemats/napkins and dishtowel/pot holder.

ALTERED CLIPBOARD

I finally stepped out of my box and joined some groups. They have been wonderful, inspiring and helpful. I decided to do the Altered Clipboard swap (my very first) and this was my board. I have made others as gifts.
