The theme for the month of April is Western...Here is my take on it...Everything is colored with Copics...Really like them the more I use them!

ATC Swap
The ATC's that I did for a swap. I decided with my new found skill of water coloring I would give it a try. I stamped the watercolor paper with black StazOn. Once dry, I used my watercolor pencils and a REALLY small brush. Also used one of those "water brushes". I probably should have photographed them seperately but didn't. Maybe next time as it is rather hard to tell some of the differences.

Parchment Swap
September's challenge was to make something with ribbon added. I've had thus fan pattern and had been wanting to try it. It was already encased. I used brown cardstock for the base. The background under the fan is Japanese washi paper mounted to the cardstock. The other card is
what my partner sent me.
Red / Green Swap
I joined in a swap on one of the groups I'm in. The challenge was to use red/green. I thought I'd try to see what I could do without making in "Christmasy". Here are my results.
"Vintage Girl" was stamped on green and mounted to a red floral background. The corners are a small white doily that I did DTP inking with distress ink, rubbed off with a paper towel then cut into fourths and mounted with glue. "Tree" was stamped on green and mounted on red. The red has some gold glitter in the corners. It was then mounted on Japanese washi paper. "Girl was stamped on white and color dusted in brown. Mounted on green cardstock then mounted to Origami paper. "Chimp" was stamped in brown on red, mounted on green and then mounted on green Origami paper.ATC SWAP

CARD SWAP
I made these for a card swap. The girl in purple was stamped on white mulberry paper in purple. I placed a purple piece of cardstock behine her then attached it to the purple patterned paper. Attached that to white cardstock. Stamped the work "vintage" on the patterned paper and attached the flowers. Second girl was stamped on white cardstock. The background paper is washi paper. Panda 1 was stamped on white cardstock and shaded with brown around it. Attached it to washi paper and brown cardstock. Cut the bamboo strips from a paint chip. Second panda was stamped on white and cut out. Then mounted on brown paper and layered to the washi paper.
"BACK ON TRACK"
Isn't is amazing how we can get side tracked in life? I feel like I've been derailed and going down who knows what track! Between having all the home repairs done, getting ready for "back to school", more home repairs etc. etc. I took a different train for a while. Well, I'm hoping all that is over. I am now back on my "art-train" and have been doing some creating. So let's get started!
The ATC swap for August was Fall (trees, leaves etc.).

Card Swap
On one of my groups we are doing a 4 for 4 swap. These are the one that I sent. I used brown cardstock then used Origami paper that's very wavy giving an illusion dependng on which way you hold it. Stamped the panda on cardstock. The green "bambo" sticks were cut from a paint chip sample. Purple panda is washi paper background. Stamped the panda on cardstock and cut it out. Lady in purple was stamped on white mulberry in purple then layered. Red lady was mounted on Origami paper and added red flowers to her hat.

COTM for May
May ATC Swap
Gosh it's been forever since I posted but things have been busy! We're having some work done outside the house...MAJOR work! Our old screened in porch is now becoming our enclosed sun room and we're getting a new screened porch added on with a deck! Practically takes up the entire back of the house! It'll be worth it in the end...If that wan't enough our master bath shower sprung a leak and was dripping through to the family room floor! So now I've got workers taking care of that! HELP! In the meantime I've been able to do a little crafting so here's teh ATCs I made for the swap in May. The theme was about men.
