PRESENTS

Well, I guess this will be my last entry for the "old" year! Can't believe it's another year gone. Looking forward to what the "new" year has in store. In the meantime, this little coaster book is the last Christmas present for my Bible study group. We haven't had our Christmas yet so it will be fun when we get together and share. Great way to start the "new year"!...See ya next year!

AWARDS

WOW! What an honor to be given this. My first ever award and I'm just delighted that Nettie thought my blog was deserving! Thank you so much Nettie! I never expected it and was very surprised. It really means a lot. I will certainly do my very best to live up to the words that accompany this award!

Now I must pass it on to 8 blogs I feel inspire these words.

The following is the text that must accompany the award on each blog and be passed on each time the award is given.

"These blogs invest and believe in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!"

Now give this award to 8 bloggers who must choose 8 more and include the text into the body of their award. my choices include some who have already received this award but I felt they deserved it again!

Here are my 8 choices:

CHRISTMAS PRESENT

One last Christmas present. It's mounted on cardboard. The background paper is white mulberry that was sprayed with 2 different colors of Memories Mist sprays and 1 Glimmering Mist from Tattered Angels. Dried it with the heat gun. The white line through it was done with the Clorox pen then dried with the heat gun. The long strip is just DTP and the image was stamped in black and I used colored pencils.

CHRISTMAS PRESENTS Tumbled Tiles

I made these tumbled tiles for a couple of women in my Bible study group. I used alcohol inks and Staz On black. Then baked them at 350 for about 15 minutes. Added the ribbon to the green one.

CHRISTMAS PRESENT - Mini Book

This is a mini book I put together for a christmas present. The happy couple celebrated 25 years together. They took a mini vacation to Colonial Williamsburg. I snuck some pictures to make this. The front cover is cardboard covered with fabric. I punched holes in the spine and used ribbon to "tie" the pages.

Pages 3 and 4 are a little bit of Williamsburg history and events that happened.
Pages 5 and 6 are pictures of Williamsburg during the fall when they went.

Pages 7 and 8 reflect the times.
Pages 9 and 10 iron smiths at work and the firing of rifles.

Pages 11 and 12 show the Fife and Drums, a woman in her Apothocary and one of the gardens.
Pages 13 and 14 restaurant logos, a couple of recipes and a colonial table setting.

Pages 15 and 16 show a sunflower and the happy couple with a anniversary poem.
The last 2 pages reflect life, a map of Williamsburg and 25 years!
