PARCHMENT CRAFT/PERGAMANO/PAPER PIERCING

On my Pergamano group we had a challenge. The pattern was supplied. This was my input. I tried a different type of vellum. It was very "forgiving" so won't use it again. Experimenting is always fun!

ATCs

The theme for April's swap was children.
These are what I did.

More Gatlinburg

Downtown Gatlinburg and snow in the Smokey Mountains. Sherry and her dh were going home Tuesday so he could go to work but because of the snow the roads were closed! They had to turn around and come back! Oh darn! They left the next day and the rest of us headed over to Knoxville. Stopped at the Women's Basketball Museum for any of you Lady Vols fans. Next day we went and hiked more falls because the weather was beautiful AND we had read the brochures! Our last day there we visited more falls. Weather back to sunny and mid 70s!

Gatlinburg, TN Vacation

We had a great time on our vacation. I thought I would share some photos of this beautiful area. It was myself and dh, friend Sherry and her dh and friend Lori. It was a beautiful drive up. We stopped in a little town called Franklin where Sherry is from. We visited with her Dad and her daughter drove over from college. She took us to the local "stamp store". We had fun. Bought some new colors of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and one of their stencils. Left and continued on to the resort. 1st picture - Rainbow Falls. Our first full day there and it was a beautiful 74 and sunny. We decided to hike. Note to self - next time read the ENTIRE brochure!! Somehow we missed the part about "strenuous" hike! So having said that we had to ration the water, had no snacks and it took about 5 hrs. total! It was straight up about 1500 ft. When finished we ate at "Bubba Gump's Seafood" and we ate so much the waiter asked had we been hiking! 2nd - Resort. Second day and it was snowing and a whopping 30 something! We decided to hit the 8 mile Craft Trail. One of the shops is the 3rd picture.

Book Marks

I made these book marks as samples for the kid's ministry at my church. I got with the person in charge to see if I could help out with the arts and crafts. She was thrilled because as she put it, "I'm not very artsy/crafty". Anyway I brayered front and back with rainbow pads. Added stickers to the front. Stamped swirls on the back. Computer generated the saying (sorry it's blurry!) that says, "Mothers hold their children's hands for a litttle while...their hearts forever." Printed it on white paper then brayered over it with the same color pad. mounted it on black then onto the bookmark. Laminated it then added the fibers. Anyway, my friend and I are going to come up with about 40 little "kits" for the kids for Mother's Day. We'll do them the weekend before so I can take them home and laminate and be ready for Mother's Day!

Welcome Wagon

These are cards that I made as part of the Welcome Wagon committee I belong to for one of my groups.

CHALLENGE

These cards were done for a challenge that wanted water color techniques. The koi and peacock we stamped onto water color paper that I had done a wash over. On the koi I went back with water color pencil to make some spots a little darker. You can't see the Sparkles I used on the peacock but they are there! The pink flowers was done with markers to stamp, spritzed then onto water color paper. Blue flowers was water color crayons to stamp, spritzed then stamped onto water color paper.

ATCs

March's theme for the ATC swap was heavenly, clouds, stars. Here is what I came up with.
